Copyright Policy

Ripe Pulp respects the rights of creators and rights holders, and expects everyone who uses it to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged infringement in line with the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable law.

Reporting copyright infringement

Send your notice to support@ripepulp.com with the subject line “Copyright notice”. To be valid, it must include:

1. your physical or electronic signature, as the rights holder or a person authorised to act for them;
2. identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed;
3. the exact web address (URL) of the material you want removed, so we can find it;
4. your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
5. a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law; and
6. a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.

We may forward your notice, including your contact details, to the person who posted the material. Knowingly making a false claim of infringement can make you liable for damages.

What happens next

When we receive a valid notice we will remove or disable access to the material and tell the person who posted it. Creator profiles built from public channel information show material, such as a profile image, that the channel itself published; if you are that channel’s owner, the quickest route is to claim or remove the profile as described in our Creator Profiles Policy.

Counter-notices

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, or that you have the right to use it, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. It must include:

1. your physical or electronic signature;
2. identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared;
3. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed as a result of a mistake or misidentification;
4. your name, address and telephone number; and
5. a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.

We will send your counter-notice to the person who complained. Unless they tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material.

Repeat infringers

We close, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe the rights of others.

Trademarks and impersonation

To report use of a trademark that is likely to confuse people, or an account or profile that impersonates you, email support@ripepulp.com with your contact details, the trademark or identity concerned (with registration details if you have them) and a link to what you are reporting. Our Acceptable Use Policy prohibits impersonation and false profile claims.
